Brehon Law
Brehon Law formed in Sept. 2000 - shortly after David Lally walked into Tom Giblin's pub in Carlsbad in search of fame and fortune (still working on that) and met owners, Ned and Brenda Giblin. David and Ned - both from the West of Ireland - were playing music the very next night.
After zero practice over a prolonged period of time the lads developed their unique sound which has been described as "in your face Irish music" and varies from lightning reels and jigs to soulful ballads and modern acoustic pain. David plays rhythm and lead guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals while Ned plays rhythm guitar, mandolin, tin whistle, bodhran and also sings lead and harmony vocals.
Brad Rehn joins them with driving percussion and Paul Castellanos rounds it out with wickedly fast fiddle - filling out a surprising sound from just four performers.
